As a Nebraska native, Dr. Doyle D. Hansen attended the University of Nebraska Medical School in Omaha. He is Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology.

Additionally, he serves as a consultant to the Pathology Department at Kaiser Hospital in San Diego; and he also served as Associated Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Dermatology, at the University of California, San Diego for 25 years. He served as interim head of the dermatopath section for 2 years. He is a staff pathologist and CA Medical Director at Pacific Pathology, Inc.

Dr. Hansen served in the United States Navy for eight years on active duty. After service in the Navy, he entered practice with Dr. Thoene at East County Dermatology Medical Group in 1982.

At 65 years old, Dr. Hansen has been in private practice in both dermatology and dermpathology for over 30 years.
